Synopsis:

Max (Oscar Copp), a ten-year-old boy who is spending the summer holidays with his grandmother on the outskirts of Strasbourg, falls in love with the gypsy jazz music played by the Manouche Gypsies living nearby, and dreams of playing the guitar like Django Reinhardt. He buys a guitar and takes lessons from the virtuoso Miraldo (Tchavolo Schmitt), and becomes friends with Swing (Lou Rech), a wild, tomboyish Manouche girl, who introduces him to her people's way of life. Through their friendship and the music, Max discovers a world very different from his own. Written and directed by Tony Gatlif.
