Synopsis:

Paris. Camille (Agnès Jaoui), who is writing a doctoral thesis on history and works as a tour guide, falls for Marc (Lambert Wilson), the estate agent who is finding a new flat for her sister Odile (Sabine Azéma). Simon (André Dussollier), Marc's shy employee who writes radio plays, is secretly in love with Camille. Odile loves her husband Claude (Pierre Arditi), but suspects him, while her old flame Nicolas (Jean-Pierre Bacri), a hypochondriac, reappears in her life. They deceive each other and themselves, and love makes them both fools and happy. At every turn, the characters express their feelings by lip-syncing to snatches of popular French songs, from Charles Aznavour, Sylvie Vartan and Johnny Hallyday to Édith Piaf. Directed by Alain Resnais, written by Agnès Jaoui and Jean-Pierre Bacri; seven César Awards including Best Film.
