Synopsis:

It is one of the best musical films ever made, and one of the most representative of what musicals are all about. Despite this, the film was not a huge success at the box office, and it was said that the film was not a big hit at the domestic premiere. Set in the dark Berlin of 1931, just before World War II, the film follows the American singer Sally Bowles, who works in a cabaret in Berlin. The actress who played Sally Bowles was the famous musical actress Liza Minnelli. No other film has culminated in his outstanding acting and singing like this one, and that is perhaps why it is so valuable.

In addition to the musical elements, the film also captures the circumstances of the time when Hitler was inevitably on the scene. The film was originally based on a Broadway play by Christopher Isherwood and the film adaptation of I Am the Camera, which was based on the play. The film won the Academy Awards for Best Director, Best Actress (Riza Minelli), Best Supporting Actor (Joel Gray), and Best Cinematography for Liza Minnelli's outstanding performance and singing, as well as for the excellent direction and photography.
